Individual Counselling
Do life’s challenges feel overwhelming? Are you struggling to find clarity and purpose? Do past wounds and limiting beliefs hold you back?
When self-doubt creeps in, motivation fades, and emotional pain lingers, it’s easy to feel stuck. You may have once felt confident and connected to yourself, but now you feel lost and disheartened. Trauma and unresolved issues can create barriers that seem impossible to overcome.
Cultivating a relationship with yourself is essential for change, yet it’s not always easy. Unhealthy patterns, past wounds, and limiting beliefs can block your path to mental health and well-being. This combined with the complexities of life, can feel overwhelming to navigate alone.
Individual counselling offers a pathway forward. Through therapy sessions, gain insights into unhealthy patterns, develop effective coping strategies, and resolve internal conflicts. By deepening your self-awareness, building resilience and healing past wounds, you can cultivate a healthier, more fulfilling life.
I provide a personalized approach to support your unique journey. I honour diverse sexual, relational, and personal expressions, providing services that are LGBTQ+ inclusive and grounded in anti-racist values.
Approach
My counselling approach is grounded in the belief that each person is inherently whole and possesses the inner wisdom necessary for healing and growth. I offer a compassionate, holistic, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in depth.
The counselling process begins with a collaborative assessment of your unique needs, goals, and challenges. From there, I tailor the therapeutic approach to support your journey, using a client-centred focus and integrating a range of therapeutic modalities and evidence-based techniques, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Somatic Therapy, Parts Work, Gestalt, Therapeutic Rituals, and Mindfulness.
At the heart of my work is the belief that a trusting therapeutic relationship is essential. I recognize the connection between counsellor and client as a vital foundation for meaningful and effective therapy.
Throughout our work together, self-reflection, empowerment, and the development of healthy coping strategies are encouraged. My aim is to support you in uncovering and nurturing your inner strengths, increasing resilience, and navigating life’s challenges with greater clarity and confidence.
Whether you’re seeking support for mental health, trauma, life transitions, or sexual and relationship challenges, my approach is centred on helping you reconnect with your true self and move toward a more fulfilling, balanced life.

FAQ'S
ARE THE SESSIONS ONLINE OR IN PERSON?
Sessions are conducted online. Online therapy can be just as beneficial and effective as in-person therapy, allowing you to receive professional help from the comfort of your own home or another private environment.
HOW DO I START WITH COUNSELLING?
If this is your first time coming to counselling, I recommend starting with a free 15-minute intake consultation. This session allows us to determine if we’re a good fit for working together. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions about the counselling process, what to expect, and who I am as a therapist, as well as any other inquiries you may have. It also provides me with a chance to learn more about you and what brings you to counselling. After the consultation, we can schedule your first session.
HOW OFTEN SHALL I COME TO COUNSELLING AND LONG WILL IT TAKE?
For optimal results, it is generally recommended to attend counseling sessions every 1-2 weeks. As you make progress and gain stability in addressing your concerns, you can adjust the frequency of sessions as needed.
Since everyone’s needs are different, it’s challenging to determine an exact timeline for how long you will need counselling. Generally, most individual clients begin to feel better and notice changes after six to eight sessions.
ARE THE SESSIONS CONFIDENTIAL?
Whatever we discuss in sessions is confidential. Your privacy is important, and we are committed to ensuring that the information you share remains secure. There are three exceptions to this rule:
- Mandatory Reporting: Counsellors are legally required to report any abuse of a child or vulnerable person.
- Legal Requirements: If your records are subpoenaed by a court, we must comply.
- Immediate Risk: If there is an immediate risk to your life or the life of another person, confidentiality may be breached to ensure safety.
If you have any concerns or questions about confidentiality, please feel free to discuss them with me.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping us provide the best possible care. If you have any questions about these policies, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

- ComPsych

If your provider is listed above, this does not guarantee your plan includes extended coverage for psychological services. Each individual policy varies in terms of the monetary amount and counsellor credentials required.
Please confirm directly with your provider if they will cover your sessions with a clinical counsellor by asking the following questions.
- Does my plan cover a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RPC)?
- What is the coverage amount per year and per therapy session?
- Is approval required from my primary care physician?
If your insurance provider covers your sessions, you’ll need to pay upfront and then submit your receipt to them for reimbursement, as I do not offer direct billing.
